Biosphere’s Novelty Waves, popped up on a spotify playlist earlier, I was instantly reminded of the Levis’ advert that used it as its soundtrack. Directed by Michel Gondry, long before he produced Daft Punk’s excellent Around the World video and of course his notable movie output, it is 90 seconds of pure joy.
Beautfully shot in monochrome, it works so well at conjouring up the morals and attitudes, of what I assume is America’s Deep South, in the 1920’s. And of course, the juxtaposition of the Biosphere soundtrack works wonders. Enjoy.
